“True love.” Few movie quotes are as memorable—or as misunderstood—as that one. Join us for our next Christ in Cinema night as we enjoy the beloved classic The Princess Bride!
We’ll gather at 6:00 PM for fun snacks and beverages, enjoy the movie together, and then spend time in discussion afterward—looking at the story through a Christian lens. Our focus this evening will be on what true love really is.
True love isn’t about “soulmates” or fairy-tale perfection. It’s not effortless or magical. It’s the kind of love that takes hard work, devotion, loyalty, forgiveness, grace, and the strength that only comes from God’s wisdom, truth, and love.

Trunk or Treat – October 25, 2025
Join us for an evening of costumes, candy, and community at our annual Trunk or Treat! This safe and family-friendly event will be held on Saturday, October 25, from 4:00–6:00 PM at Redemption Lutheran Church (927 E Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN).
Bring the kids in costume, enjoy decorated trunks, collect treats, and connect with neighbors. Allergy-friendly and non-candy treats will also be available, ensuring fun for everyone.

Christ in Cinema - Bonhoeffer
Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German theologian and Lutheran pastor who actively resisted the Nazi regime during World War II wrestles with his theology of love and pacifism in the face of the darkest regime of the 20th century. Bonhoeffer struggles with faith and morality as he becomes involved in a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler. Courage, faith, and the cost of standing up against evil, particularly in the context of the church's complicity with the Nazi regime. Join us for another great movie and conversation.
